Carefully read this installation guide and the product-specific guide that comes with your purchased railing system. The guide is always provided with detailed instructions.
DOLLE railing systems are designed and tested exclusively for private homes and not for public or commercial spaces.
Be aware that railings installed in coastal or other aggressive environments must be made from materials suitable for such conditions.
It is crucial to review and adhere to local safety standards for railings. Pay attention to specific fall and climb protection requirements - especially in areas frequented by children. Railing height may be regulated by national building codes.
All railings are marked with indications of whether they are suitable for indoor, outdoor, or dual use. Be sure to verify this before purchase.
Warranty
Covers manufacturing defects but void if installed incorrectly or modified. Use original spare parts. Follow the guide for safety.
Preparation Before Installation
Permits
Ensure local building requirements are met and obtain any necessary permits.
Our DIY railing system does not require a professional installer and can be installed by yourself. However, we recommend enlisting a helping hand and thoroughly familiarizing yourself with the task. It is essential to evaluate whether you are well-prepared and possess the necessary skills to complete the job safely and correctly.
Substrate Preparation
Check the foundation's load-bearing capacity and ensure no electrical installations, underfloor heating, or similar obstacles exist in the installation area.
Ensure the surface is level and stable
For some of our railing systems, fasteners (screws and wall plugs) are included. The specific mounting instructions specify the appropriate type of fastener for different substrates.
We recommend two different solutions
M10 mm expansion bolts, at least 65 mm long.
Ø10 mm lag screws, at least 60 mm long, along with Ø12 mm wall plugs for concrete (without wall plugs when mounting in wood).
When using anchor bolts, maintaining the correct edge distance is crucial. Refer to the product-specific guide for details, as requirements vary depending on whether lag screws, chemical anchors, or expansion anchors are used.
Material Storage
Store railing components in a dry place, protected from the elements, until installation begins.
Safety Instructions
Weather Conditions
Avoid working in rain, ice, or wind speeds exceeding 11 m/s (strong wind).
Safety Equipment
Use safety glasses, gloves, and non-slip footwear. Additional protective gear, such as hearing protection, may be required for specific tasks.
Warning
Keep children away from the work area during installation.
Working at Heights
Take appropriate safety measures to minimize the risk of falls. Use personal protective equipment such as harnesses and fall protection, as well as stable scaffolds or work platforms, to ensure a safe process.
Heavy items (over 20 kg) should be moved using lifting equipment or with the help of multiple people.

Installation of Railing Systems
Posts and Foundations
Secure posts to the existing substrate using the recommended screws. Refer to the specifications in the railing's installation guide.
If desired, railing sections can be extended in a straight line. The necessary connectors are included in each set. In addition to straight connections, we also offer Corner kit (brackets) for most solutions. Corner configurations can be quickly and easily implemented using the appropriate Corner Kit, available as an optional accessory.
Mounting Horizontal Fillings
Mount fillings on the inside of the posts using clips or screws (depending on the system type). Our railing systems are tested and approved for installation with infills on the inside. Please ensure the infill is installed on the inside and that all infills are secure and level. Some fillings and handrails may require cutting. Use appropriate tools to avoid issues like airborne rust, which can cause surface rusting.
Corner connection
We offer a Corner Kit with brackets for most solutions, providing flexibility and ease of installation. This kit simplifies turning corners on balustrades and similar structures.
With the optional Corner Kit, corner configurations can be implemented effortlessly. Ensure brackets are aligned properly and secured at the recommended angles.
Climbing Protection
Some railing systems use horizontal bars as fillings. To prevent children from climbing, we offer climbing protection accessories in certain markets. Check with your local retailer or our website for availability.
